Mark Bage is a respected fashion film director having worked big brand campaigns including tv and display ads, to short films for young designers and high street stores.
Mark was born in Ilkley, in the heart of Yorkshire, England to hippie parents. His father was an artist and his mother sold dresses on her market stall in York.
Mark had an unusual upbringing, when he was ten years old, he ran away from home, to live with his father in various hippie communes.
Eager to get on with life he left school at the age of 15 and started his first business, his window cleaning round which he sold for £500. With these funds he decided to holiday in Paris, he liked it so much he decided to stay.
Mark moved to Paris at 16 and started his fashion career by working for Nicole Farhi and Stephen Marks at French Connection’s head office in Paris. He quickly found his fashion feet in the industry.

Mark returned to England to help with the family business. His mother Victoria Bage started the 'Sarah Coggles Frock Shop' business on a market stall in 1974, but Mark Bage created the multi award winning 'Coggles' and 'Coggles.com' brands.
Mark Bage founded Coggles when he saw that there was an increased need for curated, modern fashion brands along with contemporary lifestyle products, music and bikes.
While he was at Coggles, Mark helped create the French Connection, and Paul Smith, franchise businesses.
Coggles reached the 100 million turnover milestone in 2013 and trained over 2000 staff, many of them went on to help run fashion businesses like, ASOS, Ted Baker, Paul Smith, Margaret Howell, Ralph Lauren, Bestseller, Nigel Cabourn, LN-CC, etc.
Mark sold the Coggles website to the Hut Group in 2013.
